STRATEGIC
EXERCISE

Your exercise program should always meet your unique needs, work within your tolerances, and account for any limitations. Our goal is to build a solid and durable physical foundation. Using our Internal Performance approach, we'll focus on developing a strong base of stability, mobility, and contractile control. From there, we progress your training along the continuum to meet your individual requirements. At its core, exercise is about applying forces to the body. To truly understand exercise objectively, we must grasp the principles of forces and anatomy. This leads us directly to biomechanics and exercise mechanics. Instead of just seeing a swinging weight, we need to observe the intricate arcs and paths of motion, envisioning the moving levers, axes, as well as the moment arm(s) and their dynamic changes.

Furthermore, it's essential to be proficient in analyzing the tools we use in exercise and understanding their distinct physical properties. We apply resistance within your Active Range of Motion limits and often match the resistance profile to your body's internal force tolerance profile. In advanced progressions, we apply the S.A.I.D. principle, considering intention, speed, and tempo in relation to equipment, range of motion, and resistance profile.
